Track Mangoes was founded by Jens Tamang as a web journal based out of Portland, Oregon, in 2004. In 2007 Track Mangoes became a collective effort of students at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, to document and analyze contemporary media culture. Today Track Mangoes is an online receptacle for original compositions as well as commentary on media texts.
Track Mangoes' mission is to raise the level of dialogue among young adults surrounding media, culture, and media culture. Our vision is to foster conscious, rather than passive, consumption of cultural material.
Track Mangoes accepts submissions all day, er day, free of pretense. If you would like to contribute to Track Mangoes or become an author, please contact tamangj@gmail.com.
